“ Really enjoyed the old-timey vibe here. The decors take your right back to the 1870s. Would be a nice spot to come for some drinks at night or do some work during the day. Their menu is pretty extensive with American classics. The Club Sandwich looked bomb, will be back to try it. The Salmon with Prawns were tasty! Salmon and prawns were fresh but the salmon was a bit burnt at the bottom...Sauces were flavorful though. The Rice Pilaf and Broccolli were well-seasoned as well. Service was kind minimal and rather harsh so keep that in mind. ”
“ This is EXACTLY the type of place I love to find when I explore a city. It's classy, it's unique, it's dripping with history, and it has great service, food, and drinks. It feels like something straight out of the speakeasy era,l, definitely feels like stepping through time. The place looks great and it's very cozy. Despite seeing the inviting booths, I decided to sit at the bar in favor of interaction. That was a great decision! Their specialty at the bar is a flaming Irish coffee. It's a whole production unto itself and makes for such a good show. The food feels like just good old home cooking. I got an open faced turkey sandwich with gravy, which was such a comfort food bonanza, that I was in heaven. The bartender was great fun and wonderful to talk to. I hope I get back to Portland someday and hopefully can bring folks next time so we can experience it together. ”
“ Went here for the Spanish coffee and it did not disappoint. The presentation from the bartender was exceptional and the drink definitely warmed us up in the cold weather. ”
“ Excellent meal and amazing customer service. We loved our meals and did a ham dinner and a combo ham/turkey dinner. My daughter really enjoyed watching them make Spanish coffees. Such a fun show! ”
“ Have been trying to revisit some of my old favorite restaurants, today we dined at Huber's and it was really an excellent lunch experience! We ate in the old part of the restaurant, it is such a cool space. Check my photo! This is what they talk about when we say... Vibe! Huber's looks great... but what about the food. After our flaming Spanish Coffee drinks, which were quite a thrill. . . We ordered their house special, Roast Turkey. It was excellent. Our lunch for 2, $75.80 without tips. I have to point out that the main reason it was such a cool lunch? The cool Huber's people. The hostess, the Spanish Coffee Dude, and our waiter were just as nice to us as they could be. So thankful that Huber's continues... one of the best things about Portland. ”
